For Children

Drs. Aleman, Sternstein & McDaniel have treated many children and teens over the years, and they understand that having a beautiful smile is an important part of a young person confidence. Our Dr.’s work together to create a treatment plan designed specifically for each patient in order to create a life changing smile. There are a variety of treatment options available, including traditional braces and clear braces.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that patients see an Orthodontist by the age of 7. This allows the orthodontist to determine if treatment is needed and when is the optimum time to initiate that treatment. By age 7 the first permanent molars and incisors have usually come in and cross-bites, crowding, and other problems can be detected. When orthodontic treatment is started early, it allows the orthodontist to encourage the growth of the jaws, and guide the incoming permanent teeth into a more favorable position. It also can help to reduce the need for permanent tooth extraction and avoid more involved procedures later.

For Adults

Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age, and adults especially appreciate the benefits of an amazing smile. Adult orthodontics is becoming more socially acceptable as one in every five patients beginning orthodontic treatment is over 21. One thing is for sure, you are never too old to have a smile you can be proud of.

Aleman, Sternstein & McDaniel understand that some adults may be apprehensive about undergoing orthodontic treatment. They may be deterred by the thought of “traditional” braces; we understand that and may have other options available. Some adult treatment plans may require an inter-disciplinary approach with other dentist and/or dental specialist to improve upon the quality of the results.
