Dr. Jason Aleman D.M.D., M.S. ABO received his Dental Degree from Southern Illinois School of Medicine where he graduated magna cum laude. Following dental school he was selected into the orthodontic program at Saint Louis University where he earned a Master’s Degree in Orthodontics. During the course of his training, Dr. Aleman has been honored with election into OKU, an honorary dental society.
Dr. Aleman serves on the Craniofacial Anomalies team at S.I.U. School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, G.V. Black Dental Society, and the American Association of Orthodontics. Dr. Aleman is a Diplomat, American Board of Orthodontics.
Jason and his wife Erin, (also a general dentist), are proud parents of three children and are very active in the Springfield and Chatham communities. In his free time Jason enjoys spending time with his family, running and playing golf.
Dr. M.M. Sternstein D.D.S. (or “MM” as he is called in the office) received his dental degree from the University of Illinois in 1965 where he and Dr. McDaniel were classmates. After 2 years of military service in Idaho and Thailand, he returned to the University of Illinois to teach operative dentistry. In 1968 he began his orthodontic training at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York. Currently he is an Associate Clinical Professor with the S.I.U. School of Medicine and works closely with the Craniofacial Anomalies team.
As a licensed specialist in orthodontics Dr. Sternstein opened his original office in 1970 in the Town and Country Tower Building. He has been president of the G.V. Black Dental Society on two separate occasions, and is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontics. He has raised 6 children and now enjoys spending time with his grandchildren. His hobbies include biking, running, traveling and history.
Dr. R.T. McDaniel D.D.S., M.S. ABO.(or ”RT” as he is called in the office) Retired in December 2013 RT, a licensed specialist in orthodontics, came to Springfield in 1973 to join Dr. Sternstein, and together they built one of the leading orthodontic practices in the area. Although he is very active in a variety of community and professional organizations, including G.V. Black Dental Society, Rotary Sunrise, Central Baptist Church, Boy Scouts of America, and the Illinois Symphony Chorus, he still makes time to visit the office where his philosophy and reputation are the foundation of the Aleman & Sternstein Practice. He and his wife Hannah are also active in various organizations and remain supporters of the Springfield Public School Foundation.
Dr. McDaniel received his dental degree from the University of Illinois in 1965, and after 3 years of military service, returned there to complete his orthodontic specialty training in 1971. In the course of his training, he was honored with election into the OKU (honorary dental society), was chosen outstanding clinician of the orthodontic class of 1971, and has fulfilled requirements for certification by the American Board of Orthodontics.
